Well, hello. Yes, I know, it’s been a while. In my defence, there’s been rather a lot going on… As you may know from stuff I’ve shared on social media, earlier this year my company decided to make me redundant – a decision, I hasten to point out, that I was more than happy with! I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for 2 years now, and the redundancy has offered me the perfect opportunity to move closer to my partner so that we can actually experience what living in the same city feels like, LOL!
So, that move is now rapidly approaching, as is the end of my contract with my company. It’s all incredibly exciting, a tad nerve-wracking, but I’m truly looking forward to this next adventure in my life. I’ll leave London early in the new year and start a new life in Frankfurt, Germany, and I CANNOT WAIT. Auf Wiedersehen, London; Guten Tag, Frankfurt!
As we’re full speed ahead to Christmas and the holiday season, I thought I ought to let you know that the Hootenanny, organised by that fab crew over at Women and Words, is also quickly approaching. It starts on Dec 12th and runs to Dec 23rd, and it’s your chance to get your hands on FREE goodies – there’s a ton of authors, myself included, giving away a ridiculous amount of books EVERY DAY. I’m offering two copies of my latest, One Way or Another, so head on over to the Hootenanny details (hover over those last two words to go straight there!) to learn how to take part.
What else can I tell you about? Well, for starters, we just finished the edit phase of my next release, “Write Your Own Script” which is out the first week of April 2019. It’s an erotic celebrity romance, and I’ll be honest, it’s my favourite book so far – I can’t wait for you all to meet Tamsyn and Maggie (and Gizmo, Maggie’s seriously cute Border Terrier, who is based on a friend’s dog – see pic to right). Last week we finalised the cover, which is beyond gorgeous, so look out for the reveal of that in the new year.
I’m also about 55,000 words into my next romance! The working title is “The Long Shot” and it’s an age-gap romance set around the world of women’s golf. Adrienne and Morgan are shaping up nicely, as is their slow-burn romance, and my betas are giving me such wonderful feedback. It’s been a slow write, this one, what with everything else going on in my life, but I’m on the home stretch now, so that will be wrapped up and off to my publisher before Christmas, all being well.
And then, it will finally be time to relax, and breathe, and spend a quiet Christmas with my beautiful partner, planning all the wonderful things we’ll be able to share in 2019, and onwards…
I wish you all a very happy holiday season, and here’s hoping 2019 brings you what you truly desire.
